EXCLUSIVE: France’s KMBP, Spain’s Flins y Pinículas and the UK’s Sky have acquired Toby Genkel and Chris Drew’s animated feature The Amazing Maurice 2 - The Waters Of Life from German sales outfit Epsilon Film.
Cantilever Media and Ulysses Film have produced the film that is a sequel to 2022’s The Amazing Maurice, based on the book by Terry Pratchett and which grossed over $21mn globally.
Other countries on board include South Korea (Bluelabel), Portugal (NOS), Greece (Rosebud), and the Middle East (Selim Ramia & Co). the Baltics (GPI), Ukraine (Green Light), and Ex-Yugoslavia (Investacommerce).
Prorom Media will handling Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Bulgaria. Rights have also been sold to South Africa (Empire Entertainment), Turkey (Filmarti) and Vietnam (Mockingbird). Viva Pictures has North American rights.
